Donald Adams, 64, of Chillicothe passed away at 3:54 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2009, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL.

He was born on Feb. 12, 1945, in Hyannis Port, Mass., to Dean and Marie (Young) Adams.

Don was preceded in death by his father.

Surviving are his mother, Marie of Chillicothe; two children, Deanna Adams of Phoenix, Ariz., and Michael Adams of Ayer, Mass.; four siblings, Terry (Marcia) Adams of Peoria, and Bob (Sherry) Adams, Kathy (Tom) Jarman and Randy Adams, all of Chillicothe; five grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Don worked as an assembler for Caterpillar Inc. for 30 years before retiring. During this time he served as an ambulance driver for Caterpillar and an EMT with Rescue 33 in Chillicothe. After his retirement he worked as an engine assembler with Gray Interplant.

Don was of the Catholic faith.

Cremation rites will be accorded.
