Aged Up-county Resident Passes
New Harmony, Ind. (Special)—Mrs. Mary Elizabeth (Stallings) Mounts, 76, New Harmony, a life-long resident of Posey County and a member of a prominent Posey County family, died at 7:45 p.m. Sunday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Milo (Alma) Moody, R. R. 2, New Harmony, where she was visiting.
Mrs. Mounts, the widow of Edgar Mounts, a farmer who died 31 years ago, had been ill for the last two years.
She was a member of Primitive Baptist Church at Griffin and New Harmony camp, Royal Neighbors of America.
The deceased's parents were Henry C. and Elizabeth Jane (Cox)Stallings.
Funeral Plans Incomplete
The body is at Sturm Funeral Home in Grayville, Ill. Funeral arrangements will not be completed until late today.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Moody and Mrs. Cortland (Juna) Alsop and Mrs. Miles (Marjorie) H. Perry, New Harmony, and Mrs. David (Deloris) Landis, Orlando, Fla.; three sons, Leonard "Buck", Mt. Vernon, who is Black township trustee, and Malcolm "Mac" and Manford "Mutt", New Harmony; 20 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Anderson, Griffin, and Mrs. Selda Russell, Indianapolis.
