John W. Drennon

John W. Drennon, 63, of Edmond, died at the veterans administration hospital here Monday following an illness of three months.

A native of Harteville, Mo., he came to Edmond in 1926 and had worked as a contractor there ever since. He was a veteran of World War I, and a member of the American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret, of the home; three daughters, Miss Betty Drennon, Edmond; Mrs. Mildred McGee, 1607 NW 12; and Mrs. Doris Starkey, Edmond; and three sons, Gene and Don Drennon, both of Edmond; and Glen Drennon, Memphis, Tenn.

There are also his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.C. Drennon, Carson City, Nev.; fives sisters, Mrs. Jack Coe, Carson City, Nev.; Mrs. Robert S. Thurson, Boston, Mass.; Mrs. Ocie Heady and Mrs. Ola Becker, both of Washington D.C., and Mrs. Charles Efferding, Coffeyville, Kan., and a brother, Ted Drennon, Reno, Nev.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Baggerley funeral chapel at Edmond, with burial Gracelawn cemetery there.
