Dolores E. "Nanny" Kennedy, 69, of Rushville, died Sunday, Dec. 17, 2006 at her home.

Born Sept. 27, 1937 in Rushville, she was the daughter of Verel and Hildred (Wall) Hornaday, both deceased. She married Clarence "Geno" Kennedy Jan. 15, 1954; he survives.

Mrs. Kennedy lived most of her life in Rushville. She was a homemaker.

Survivors in addition to her husband include four sons, Bruce Kennedy of home, and Jeff Kennedy (and wife Leca), Tim Kennedy (and wife Lisa) and Brad Kennedy, all of Rushville; one daughter, Angela "Angie" Kennedy of home; three brothers, Vernon Hornaday, Richard Hornaday and Terry Hornaday, all of Rushville; two sisters, Patty (Mrs. Raymond) Glenn and Alice (Mrs. Frank) Hensley, both of Rushville; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Moster & Cox Mortuary in Rushville with the Rev. Charles Justice and David Hornaday officiating. Burial will follow in Rushville's East Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary.
