(NOTE THAT THE FAMILY SURNAME IS SPELLED RAUDEBAUGH [per daughter of William's sister, Mabel DeLong Heflin], so who knows if this obituary spelling was a typo error or if it is how William spelled the surname. THERE ARE AT LEAST 15+ WAYS TO SPELL THIS NAME. Yikes!!!)
"William H. Rodabaugh, Civil War Veteran, Dies."
"William Henry Rodabaugh, 87, Civil War veteran, died in his home at Cridersville at 3:00 a.m. Tuesday. He had been ill for several years. Mr. Rodabaugh was a member of the 118th regiment, fighting in the Civil War for three years. He has been a resident of Cridersville for 35 years. He is survived by two sons, Charles and George, at home; also two sisters, Mrs. Clyde Lock, of Wapakoneta, and Mrs. Robert Lock of Elmwood (WRONG: City is Elwood), Indiana.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the U. B. Church at Cridersville. The Rev. Mr. Wood, pastor of the church, will officiate."
FYI: William was the brother of my great grandmother, Esther Raudebaugh DeLong. I am interested in corresponding with any relatives of this family, although it seems that there is no issue from the children of wife/1, Nancy Jane Barber (!1841-@1886), to whom he married 16 Nov 1871/Auglaize Co. and with whom he had two known sons (George A. [10 Aug 1872-29 Oct 1938] and Charles M. [04 Feb 1874-20 Jul 1950]). Wife/2 was Elizabeth Bowsher (1835-1926), to whom he married 29 Aug 1892 and who was the d/o Jeremiah Bowsher and Margaret J. "Peggy" Nungester. Please email me at [email protected].
NOTE: William died of gastric cancer.

Inscription
This information from an online Auglaize County researcher seems confused: "Stevely Cemetery, Cridersville/One Mile Cemetery, which in the cemetery inscription book is listed as Union Bethel Cemetery." The question begs: Is Stevely Cemetery the same as UB Cemetery??? SOS!
