"Lawrence E. "Batt" Battenfield, 55, of Muskogee died Thursday morning. A native of Tahlequah, he was born August 8,1940, to Lillie and Leland Battenfield. He grew up in Tahlequah attending Granview and Tahlequah High School where he received his formal education. He then began a career as a truck driver.
Mr. Battenfield is survived by his mother and step-father, Lillie Battenfield and John Tate of Muskogee; sons, Marty Battenfield of Muskogee, Randy Battenfield of Keefton, stepson, Terry Cox of San Diego, CA, daughters, Leslie Brosh of Claremore, Dana Battenfield of Checotah, Janet Battenfield of Muskogee, Celena Cooper of Muskogee; 9 Grandchildren, 2 Sisters, Daisy Barton of Portland,OR, and Lois Hudson of Okay.
Funeral services will be Monday at 1:00 P.M. at Fosters'
Ivory Chapel in Petering Funeral Home with Reverend Jack
Hobbs officiating. Burial will follow at Boudinot Cemetery in Tahlequah. The pallbearers are Alfred Allred, Bobby Kirk, Thurlow Jones, Gerald Crow, Floyd Cagle and Kimm Bushey.
Funeral services are under the direction of Petering Funeral Home.
