Peggy Jean Fredrickson, 77, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2009.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Hurst. Interment: 11 a.m. Saturday in Berry Creek Cemetery in Georgetown. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Forest Ridge Funeral Home in Hurst.
Peggy was born in Georgetown on Aug. 4, 1933. She was a kind, gentle and loving person, but those are only a few words that described her. She was a homemaker and a business partner with her husband, JW, and after JW's retirement, they enjoyed traveling together. Peggy was an active member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. Mema or Memo, as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren would call her, was a motherly figure to many of her nieces, nephews and friends. The world is a better place because of her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Viola Anderson, and husband of 56 years, JW Fredrickson.
Survivors: Daughter, Pamela Biffle and husband, Hershell, of Watauga; grandson, Anthony Biffle and wife, Tina, of Weatherford; grandaughter, Patricia Lambis and husband, Ricky, of Jarabacoa, Dominican Republic; great-grandchildren, Shelby Ann Biffle, Priscilla Lambis and Gabriel Biffle; sisters-in-law, Mildred and Cliffie Fredrickson; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Curtis Gibbs; and many nieces and nephews.
