She was baptized during childhood in the Palm Valley Lutheran Church. Joyce married her lifetime partner Curtis Gibbs on February 16, 1959 after first meeting on a blind date.
Some of Joyce’s many hobbies include gardening, painting, sewing, baking and caring for children. She has also spent many hours organizing her recipes into a cookbook and documenting family ancestry into binders.
She has been preceded to heaven by her parents Viola and Oscar from Georgetown and Sister Peggy Fredrickson from Hurst Texas.
Survivors include her husband Curtis Gibbs, Son Clifford Gibbs and his wife Collen Gibbs, Daughter Tammy Souris and her husband Jeff Souris, Grand Children Jennifer and husband Justin Goodman, Sonya and husband Timothy Ewald, Matthew Souris, Allyson Souris and Great Grandson Hayden Ewald.
