Evelyn Morene Smith, 94, of Waco, passed away Monday, Feb. 23, 2009, at her residence. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 27, at Bellmead Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Carl Freeto officiating. Burial will be at Rosemound Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 26, at the funeral home.
Morene was born in Wortham, Texas, to the late Frank and Myrtle McFarlin Teague. She was a homemaker and a lifetime member of the Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey L. Smith, in November of 2008.
Survivors include her son, Marvin Smith, of Greenville; grandchildren, Mike Smith, Pam Spain and Frank Smith; 11 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; sister, Christine Pursche and husband, Earnest, of Bellmead; and many nieces and nephews.
