Called Karen Larsdatter Kongsvik, she was born in Trondhjem, immigrated in 1867 to US. Married George Norbeck in 1869, probably in Clay County SD. She was a devout Christin from her youth, a strong character devoted, industrious and practical, all of her life was dedicated to helping her husband and children in the path of righteousness. They came to Charles Mix County in 1886, she was survived by her 5 children, Peter, Laura, Emma, Enoch and George.
