JAMES W. BENFER
---Funeral services for James W. Benfer, Front and Verbeke streets, Marysville, who died Tuesday evening at a Harrisburg Hospital, will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock at the, Deckard funeral home, Maple Ave., Marysville.
---The Rev. W.E. Grove, pastor of the Bethany Evangelical Church, will officiate, assisted by the, Rev. W.E. Peffley, Lemoyne. Friends may call this evening from 7 till 9 o'clock at the funeral home. Burial will be made in Chestnut Grove Cemetery. Masonic services will be held at the funeral home this evening.
---He was 86 years old and he was a , retired butcher and auctioneer, former borough councilmen and a former member of the School Board. For a number of years he served as a trustee of Bethany Evangelical Church. He was a member of Perry Lodge, No. 458, and Free and Accepted Masons, of Marysville.
---He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Alma B. Eppley and Mrs. Romaine E. Doebler, both of Marysville, and James E., Dodge City, Kansas; a brother, Arthur E. Benfer, Marysville, and nine grandchildren.

Added; He was born in Snyder County, the son of David and Matilda Benfer. He and his parents migrated to Perry County from Beaver, Snyder County, Pa. After his father was discharged from the Union Army with almost three years service.
