Larry Skinner, 68, of Blackfoot, died Monday, April 5, 2004 at his home.
He was born July 13, 1935 in Star Valley, the son of George and Mary Peacock Skinner. He moved to Idaho when he as eight years old.
He received his education in Blackfoot, Idaho.
Larry was a generous person and was always helping children, especially at Christmas buying presents for the Giving Tree at the Christmas Tree Fantasy as well as other organizations.
He worked for Non Pareil as a potato inspector.
He is survived by his children, David Ted (Tina) Skinner of Blackfoot, Idaho, Larry Herb (Lisa) Skinner of Mesquite Texas, William Barry (Selina) Skinner of Scurry, Texas, Mariane Hatasu (Mike) Tankersley of Bakersfield Calif.; brothers, Rick, Bill, Glen and Jay all of California and John of Washington; sister, Mary Ellen of California; 9 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Hazel and Kay.
A memorial service was held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 12, 2004. Interment took place in Star Valley.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Primary Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 58249, Salt Lake City, Utah 54158-0249.
