George Skinner 68, a former Bedford resident who had resided in Blackfoot, Idaho for the past 17 years, employed as assistant farm manager at the State Hospital South died Monday Jan 25 at the Salt Lake City Veterans Hospital.
He was born June 26, 1891 in Nounan Idaho to Joseph Alma and Cathern Maryetta Hunter Skinner.
He married Maryan Harriett Peacock, June 11, 1922 in Paris Idaho, and after her death he married Dorothy peacock in Randolph, Utah, May 14, 1937. They were later divorced.
Survivors with her (she is now Mrs Dorthy Ray of McKettrick Calif) are two sons and a daughter by the first marriage, William G. of Blackfoot and Larry of Moreland and a daughter, Mrs Milton (Kay) Roalizo, Soledad Calif.; and by the second marriage three sons. Glenn of Fresno, Calif; Raymond M of McKettrick, and John Francis with the U.S. Army in Germany; and a daughter Mrs Murl (Mary Ellen) Duggen, Bakersfield Calif, nine grandchildren, four brothers Joseph of Idaho Falls; Edward T. Bedford; Howard J of Thayne Wyo and Osward H. of Roberts, Idaho; and two sisters Mrs Senos Thompson of Iona, Idaho; and Mrs Paul Merritt of Blackfoot.
Mr Skinner had lived 35 years in Bedford and six year in Parowan, Utah before coming to Blackfoot.
