SCOTTDALE — Mrs. Jessie Lambing, 79, of Alverton, died at 3 a.m. today in Latrobe Area Hospital where she was admitted Monday, July 28. She was born Aug. 14, 1889, in Saltsburg, R.D., a daughter of the late William and Sally Treasure Gartley. She attended the United Methodist Church. She is survived by one son, Ed Lambing of Alverton; nine daughters, Mrs. Walter (Ruth) Cornelius of Niles, Ohio, Mrs. Harry Strandberg of Norvelt, Mrs. Ralph (Marion) Auld of Wickcliffe, Ohio, Mrs. William (Alvarene) Hill of Connellsville, Mrs. William (Jean) Muir of Greensburg, R. D. 2 Mrs. Vinson (Twila) Hatcher Greencastle, Mrs. Milton (Vivian) Hernley of Scottdale, Mrs. Eugene (Kathleen) Craig Normalville, Mrs. William (Phyllis) Sherbondy of Laurelville; 27 grandchildren 31 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Boyd Gartley of Saltsburg, D., Glenn Gartley of Butler, Raymond Gartley of Pontiac, Mich., Buhl Gartley of Salina; three sisters, Mrs. Annie Shockey of Dearborn, Mich., Mrs. Goldie McClelland of Salina, Mrs. Sarah Freeman New Alexandria. She was preceded in death by her husband. Alva Lloyd Lambing on March 3, 1958.
