Ralph W. Price, age 87, passed away February 8, 1998, in Sandy, Utah.

He was born December 7, 1910, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Angus Byard and Lucy Williams Price. He married Hazel Lauritzen, April 12, 1934, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple; she died December 1934. He married Ruby Evelyn Atkinson, June 24, 1936, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple; she died January 5, 1990.

He was a retired switchman/brakeman for U.P.R.R. Active member of the LDS Church, served in young men and elders quorum presidencies, as a stake missionary, on the stake genealogy committee, and as a home teacher. He enjoyed gardening and shared his harvest with family and friends. He loved his family and was a full time grandpa after his retirement from U.P.R.R.

Survivors: sons, Lorin Ralph (Janet) Price, Bud (Joan) Price; daughter, Ruby Rebecca (Larry) Klenk; 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; brothers, Roy, Melvin, Gene and Calvin; sister, Lucy Marie Tanner. Preceded in death by parents, both wives, a daughter Joylyn, three brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 11, 1998, at 1 p.m. in the Butler 20th Ward, 1435 East 7200 South. Friends may call at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State Street, Tuesday, 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday at the church, one hour prior to services. Interment, Murray City Cemetery.
