Gustave served as the president of the Louisville Symphony for 3 years and was appointed an honorary director.
Gustave also served as the president for the Kentucky Conference of Social Work in Louisville. He spent the final years of his life writing , documenting , and publishing works concerning : The Daughters of the American Revolution , The Society of Colonial Wars & The First Unitarian Church.
Gustave was also a major religious advocate and correspondent of civic , cultural & religious organizations.
