Alta Grace Arnett

ALTA GRACE ARNETT died February 22, 2009 at Clay County Medical Center, Clay Center, KS at the age of 95. She was born on May 15, 1913 in Clay County, Kansas the daughter of Roy Sutter and Martha "Mattie" Davidson. She was born and raised in Clay County and graduated from Wakefield High School in 1932. She married Mervin Arnett on November 29, 1934. They farmed in the Broughton Community until 1964. They owned and operated Countryside Service Station and Arnett Mobile Home Court. In 1994 they retired and sold the Mobile Home Court. Mervin preceded her in death on January 26, 1996. She was a former member of Mizpah and Broughton Methodist Churches. She was active in the Clay Center United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School and active in Methodist Women's Organization. She is also preceded by 3 brothers, 4 sisters, a grandson and a great-granddaughter.
Survivors include:

Daughter: Jeanne and husband Leonard Eudaley, Topeka, KS

Son: Gary and wife Julie Arnett, Huntsville, AL

Son: Gail and wife Stephanie Arnett, Dallas, TX

Grandchildren: 9 Grand and 9 Great-grand

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2009 at 10:30 AM at the United Methodist Church in Clay Center, Kansas.

Officiating the service will be Rev. Gerand Martin & Rev. Larry Myers.

Burial will be at the Broughton Cemetery, Clay County, Kansas.
