“Rosemary F. Fischer Lindley, 82, 1229 S Goyer Rd, Kokomo, died at 8:20 p.m. Tuesday, February 18, 2003 in St Joseph Hospital, Kokomo. She was born January 29, 1921 Shelbyville, the daughter of Frederick Joseph and Marie Cecilia Higgins Fischer. She married Paul J. Lindley June 26, 1954 in Shelbyville. He preceded her in death February 1, 2001.

She was raised in Shelbyville, graduating from Shelbyville High School in 1939. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education from Indiana State University in 1943. She had lived most of her life in Frankfort, moving to Brandon, Florida 10 years ago. She taught school for 43 years in the Attica, Ft. Wayne, Frankfort and Rossville school systems.

She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority, Ladies Auxiliary of the Elks Lodge in Frankfort and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Moose Lodge in Frankfort. While in Brandon, Florida, she did volunteer work 500 hour pin. She was a member of the Catholic faith.

Funeral services were at 3 p.m. Saturday in Maus Funeral Home, Attica. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Arbor Foundation or the Forestry Department of Purdue University.” – Fountain County Neighbor, Attica, Indiana, February 26, 2003
