Cecil Eugene Bay was born at St. Clair, May 7, 1921, the son of the late Charles Bay and his wife Flossie, nee Ritchey, and died at the Firmin Dealoge Hosp, in St. Louis, July 2, 1986.
He received his schooling in Washington, and grew to young manhood in this area.
Dec. 8 1944 he was united in marriage to Miss Thelma Martin in St. Louis, and three children were born to this marriage.
Mr. Bay was a member of the First Baptist church and was very active in the church, Her served as a Sundy School teacher.
He was preceded in death by a son, Cecil, Jr. in infancy.
Those who survive are his wife, Thelma Bay, Union; one son Richard Bay, and his wife Lynn, and one daughter Rebecca Wail, and her husband Clyde, all of Union; four brothers, Floyd Bay, Cuba; Richard Bay, St. Louis, Harold Bay, Union, and Robert Bay, New Orleans, Louisiana; sister-in law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many other relatives and friends.
After resting in state at the Oltman Funeral Home in Union, funeral services were held Friday July 4, 1986 from the First Baptist Church in Union at 10 am by Rev. Edward Gibson. Interment followed in the Midlawn Memorial gardens at Union.
