THREE ARE BOOKED ON DRUNK DRIVING COUNTS

George H. Doan, of 3620 Sixth Avenue, Russell Roy Sharp of 3031 First Avenue and Adam G. Romero of 4451 Fortieth Avenue, are booked in the city jail on charges of drunk driving.

The police said Doan was arrested at Forty Seventh and J Streets yesterday after he was seen racing with another car at speeds in excess of 45 miles per hour.

Sharp was taken into custody in front of his home.

Romero was arrested at Sixth and K Streets Monday night. He also is booked on a charge of driving without an operator's license.

MAN IS RETURNED TO FACE CHECK CHARGE

George H. Doan was returned to Sacramento from Willows, Glenn County, on a charge of issuing checks without sufficient funds.

Detectives Walter Lapp and Don Dixon stated Doan recently completed a one year jail sentence in Glenn County on a check charge, and is accused of issuing checks totaling $300 in Sacramento last year.

Funeral arrangements were handled by the Koerwitz-Sweeten Funeral Home at 910 Soule Street for George Henry (Doan) Douane of 212 Aster Avenue, West Sacramento, who died April 1 in a Sacramento hospital at the age of 58.

Burial was in the East Lawn Cemetery.

A native of North Dakota, Mr. Douane was a self-employed painter.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Eleanor Douane; two sons, Mike Doan and George Doan of Sacramento; a daughter, Jacqueline Jastraub; and a granddaughter, Nancy Silva of Roseville.
