Nicholas Geisler, more than fifty years a resident of the county, died Friday morning, at his home in Schumm, where he had been critically ill of grippe for the past week. Mr. Geisler, a native of Germany was one of the best known Germans in the county, being highly regarded by a great many friends. He was seventy-nine years of age and is survived by three children, John, George and Anna Geisler, all of Schumm. The deceased was a brother of Mrs. Anna Baals and an uncle of Mrs. August Heim, both of this city. The funeral services were held Sunday morning at ten o'clock.
