Mrs. E. A. Collins Dies November 9
Mrs. E. A. Collins, 76, died at her home, Thursday, November 9, at 8 p.m., following a period of ill health of about one year. Rev. L. E. Strickland conducted funeral services Friday, and burial in the Sandy Creek cemetery.
Mrs. Collins was born in Alabama, and came to Texas when a girl. She had lived in the Sipe Springs community about 34 years. She united with the Baptist church in childhood.
Surviving are: Four children, Mrs. Annie Sudbury of Marlin, Emmett Collins of Austin, David Collins of Rockdale, Mrs. Estell Sullivan of Concord; 12 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 7 nieces and nephews and a large number of friends.
The pallbearers were her grandsons and two nephews, as follows: Lee, Homer and Carl Sudbury, Clyde Ray Sullivan, Edd Blackmon, and Herman Blackmon.
