Louis Joseph Dremolski was the son of Herman and Edith Charlotte Harrington Dremolski. His maternal grandparents were John Tyler Harrington and Hannah Amanda "Fanny" Ellsworth.

Louis married Doris Monroe on 1 January 1930. Doris was born at San de Fuca, Island County, on 11 November 1905. She died in 1964.

After Doris' death Louis married Sarah Lenore Ruthford on 7 January 1966 at Coupeville. Rev. Truman Cotton, Coupeville Methodist Church officiated. Sarah was born in about 1903 in Belt, Montana and died on 23 August 1968 north of Las Vegas, Nevada, in an automobile accident.

Sarah was born Sarah Lenore Myers. She was the daughter of 21 Jul 1902 of John Curtis Myers and Ida Gertrude Daniels. Sarah was previously married to Charles Ruthford.

Louie attended the University of Washington, class of 1928. Louie, the last Forest Supervisor of Nevada, became the first boss of the new Humboldt-Nevada combination, and remained in charge until his retirement in April 1961. While in Nevada, Louie resided in Elko. Louie went by Louie A Dremolski. On his marriage certificate his middle name was Augustus.
