Abstract--Dennis Lewis Mitter, 56, of Tunnelton, was killed in an auto accident Saturday evening. He was a coal miner, and was a passenger in a car driven by Harold Conners of Raccoon Valley. The vehicle went out of control and crashed head-on into a tree. The accident happened along Raccoon Valley Rd., between Tunnelton and Newburg. Mr. Mitter was born Jan. 22, 1906, in Newburg, and was the son of the late John D. Mitter and Mrs. Iva Keener Mitter, who susrvives. Other survivors are a son and daughter in Warren, Ohio; five brothers, J. L. Mitter, D. F. Mitter and Woodrow Mitter, all of Rt. 2 Tunnelton, Raymond B. Mitter of Warren, and Lyle Mitter of Tunnelton; and one sister, Mrs. N. Adis Bolyard of Ohio. Burial was in Shay's Chapel Cemetery.
