A native of Smith County, she was a retired school teacher with George County High School. An active member of the Rocky Creek Baptist Church, she died on March 4, 2004.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lamar "Fred" Dickerson.
She is survived by two sons, Tommy (Marie) Dickerson of Waynesboro and Jarvis (Regina) Dickerson of Hurley; four grandchildren, Tony Dickerson, Tiffany Miller and Will Dickerson, all of Lucedale and Katie Dickerson of Jackson; a great grandchild, Austin Miller; and a sister, Helen Daniel of Fort Worth, Texas.
Interment followed in the Rocky Creek Cemetery with Rev. Grant McLain officiating the services. George County Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Published in the George county Times March 2004. Submitted by Betty R Marshall.
