Larry Wesley Prince, 78, of 408 Hickory Drive in Elberton died Feb. 14, 2009, at Crawford Long Hospital.

A native of Elbert County, he was a son of the late Henry G. Prince and Estelle Shiflet Prince. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Elberton and a member of the VFW, American Legion, Elks Club and Moose Club. He was owner and operator of Prince Wholesale and Granite City Restaurant. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Sara Cleveland and Roxie Lipford; and two brothers, William "Bill" Prince Sr. and Fred Prince.

Survivors include his wife of the home, Barbara Sheriff Prince; two daughters, Shawna Prince Bradford and Sherry Prince, both of Elberton; a son, Rick Prince of Elberton; three sisters, Ruth Mauldin of Elberton, Ada Graham of Decatur and Louise Thomas of Woodstock; a brother, Ray Prince of Douglasville; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the Rev. Ken Whitfield and the Rev. Phillip Hart officiating. Burial was in Elmhurst Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Shaun Fortson, William Prince Jr., Howard Gailey, Stephan Prince, Brose Hudson Jr. and Joel Bretcher.
