Nola was born April 12, 1915, in McCauley to Beulah and Luther Akins. She worked in the cafeterias for the Fort Worth ISD.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Antone.
Survivors: Daughters, Donna Vymola and Frances Whitford; grandchildren, Harry Whitford III and Cheryl Newman; great-grandchildren, Alexis and Zachary Newman; and siblings, Ferris and Bynum Akins, Corrine Pinson and Evelyn Lewellen.
