GYPSUM - The funeral for Glen Holcom, 91, rural Gypsum will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at United Methodist Church, Gypsum, with Rev. John Schmitt officiating. Burial will be at Gypsum Cemetery.
Mr. Holcom died Tuesday at Salina Nursing Center. He was born July 29, 1891, near Gypsum, where he spent his life farming. He also worked at Salina Sale Barn for many years. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and Senior Citizens. He married twice and both wives preceded him in death.
Surviving are three sons, Dwain, Altoona; Romaine, 204 E. Ellsworth; Leroy, rural Gypsum; a daughter, Clena Green, rural Salina; a brother, Solomon, 528 S. College; a sister, Daisy Barker, Bedford, Texas; nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to the United Methodist Church, Gypsum. Friends may call at Karbe'rs-Gillum Funeral Home, Gypsum, until 9:30 a.m. Friday.
