Birth certificate: Cosam Emery Bartlett born 11 September 1794 parents Stephen Bartlett and Abigail Bailey Bath Grafton NH

He was extensively known in Florida and Georgia as a conductor of the Press. He had lived near Augusta, Georgia and Apalachicola, Florida. 1820 Cosam "B." lived in Chatham County in Savannah. 1832 Cosam Emier from Flynn's district, Muscogee county won lot # 1163 in the 19th district in the 3rd section. And lot #195 in the 11th district in the 2nd section.
His sister Nancy Bartlett of Genesse County, N.Y. age 25 died of dropsy at his home January 18th 1837 in Apalachicola.
1851, his heirs, Muscogee County, Ga., deed book F/480-482 preparing to sell the land in Columbus that they inherited from him.

Daughter Sarah Ann Bartlett married Capt. Elias Sanders, Jr. of New Orleans in Muscogee County on August 21, 1850 at Wynnton. They moved to New Orleans, LA. and gave power of attorney to her brother, C. Julian Bartlett to sell their Columbus land in 1852.
In 1851 Washington Bartlett gave power of attorney to Cosam Julian Bartlett.
Washington Bartlett had moved to San Francisco.
Arabella W. Bartlett, who was born about 1826 in Baldwin County, Ga.,
Franklin Adams Bartlett, and Columbus Bartlett of New Orleans, appointed Cosam Julian as their power of attorney also. Cosam J. Bartlett sold the land for them to Pinckney Hazelton for $1000. It was lot #9 in the 8th district (Columbus) containing 202 ½ acres. (Deed book I/295) W.T. Bartlett of New Orleans, LA. sold his one seventh to Pinkney and John Hazelton for $150.86 in 1857. (Muscogee Deed Book E/585.)
C. Julian Bartlett sold lot #135 (100 acres) and #154 (56 acres) in 1851 to Colquitt, Brooks and Beard, and Spence and Carter. The land was at Coweta Falls on the Chattahoochie, Muscogee county.
