Mary Alice (Lyon-Holsey) Hughes

Mary Alice (Holsey) Hughes, daughter of James Wilbur and Mary Elizabeth Holsey was born June 24, 1921, in Corsicana. She passed away Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2007, at Magnolia Square, Springfield, Mo. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alton Maurice Hughes; a daughter, Mary Tene Kilpatrick; and two brothers, James W. Holsey and Seton T. Holsey.

Mary Alice is survived by her son, LIVING; two sisters-in-law, Jane Holsey of San Antonio and Jimmie Lou Holsey of Center; son-in-law, LIVING, stepson, LIVING; stepdaughters, LIVING. Her grandchildren filled her life with pride and joy. They are LIVING. There are many great-grandchildren, who are not listed, but were loved just as much. Some very special people are LIVING, along with other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 26, at Corley Funeral Home. Service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, at Corley Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Harold Scott officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
