William A. Sanders, for many years a farmer, residing along the Gettysburg-Fairfield road, died at the Warner hospital Saturday evening at the Warner hospital Saturday evening at 10:40 o'clock after an illness of about a week. Mr. Sanders' was a lifelong resident of Cumberland township.
He was admitted to the hospital shortly before 9 o'clock for treatment for a throat aliment.
Surviving are his widow, who before her marriage was Miss Mary Thoman; Three sons, John, Charles and Mervin, all of Gettysburg; three brothers, John, Gettysburg; Morris, Conewago chapel, and Commodore, of Bonneauville; three sisters, Mrs. Edward Thomas, Gettysburg; Mrs. Stella Topper, Midway, and Mrs. Harry Tressler, McSherrystown, and three grandchildren.
Funeral services Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at his late home, the Rev. Earl J. Bowman officiating. Interment in Evergreen cemetery.
