Deceased was born in Mongaup, on July 13, 1843, and was the son of Elisha Clark and Elizabeth Skinner Clark. He lived the greater part of his life at Mongaup and vicinity. On December 10, 1866, he was united in marriage with Miss Ada Case.
Mr. Clark had served in Company E, 104th New York Regiment Volunteer Infantry, and was a member of Carroll-Van Etten Post No. 279, G.A.R., of this city.
The surviving relatives are his wife and four daughters, Mrs. Marietta Piatt, of Port Orange; Mrs. Marie A. T. Skinner, of Mount Hope; Mrs. Sarah A. Hotchkiss, of Akron, Ohio; and Mrs. Alice J. Briggs, of Liberty.
The funeral was held at 2 p.m. today in the Cuddebackville M. E. Church, in charge of the G. A. R. Interment will be in the Cuddebackville cemetery.
