Mrs. Catherine Younger, 70, Ellis, died Monday at St. Anthony Hospital. She had been ill for several years.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Church, Ellis. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Fiends may call at Johnson Funeral Chapel, Ellis, form 7 p.m. today until service time.

An Ellis resident since 1952, she and her late husband, Peter, farmed 15 miles southeast of Ellis. He died in 1960. Mrs. Younger was a member of the Daughters of Isabella and the Christian Mothers.

Survivors include eight sons, Serverin, Wichita, Norman and Victor, both of Hays, Alvin, Lebanon, Edward, WaKeeney, Elmer, Garden City, Richard and Francis, both of Ellis; two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Cora) Sawazhki, Topeka, Mrs. Robert (Mary) Dreiling, Codell; 40 grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
