PALO PINTO - Bill Ray Abernathy, 79, a retired swimming pool constructor and designer, died Tuesday, Oct. 21, 1997, at a Fort Worth hospital. Funeral: 11 a.m. Friday at Palo Pinto Community Tabernacle. If weather is inclement, will move to Palo Pinto United Methodist Church. Burial: Palo Pinto Cemetery. Bill Abernathy was born Aug. 29, 1918, in Palo Pinto. He was a member of Palo Pinto United Met hodist Church. Survivors: Wife, Susanne Abernathy of Palo Pinto; sons, Gregory R. Abernathy and William G. Abernathy, both of Colorado; brother, Joe Beeler Abernathy of Dallas; grandchildren, Ian Hunter Abernathy and Ryan Scott Abernathy, both of Colorado; and several nieces and nephews.
