CRASH KILLS 3, INJURES 5 IN WASATCH COUNTY AREA

Currant Creek, Wasatch County - A three-vehicle collision about three miles west of here on U.S. 40 claimed the lives of three persons Sunday and injured others.
Killed in the accident at about 7:40 p.m. were Robert J. Christensen, 36 (sic), 235 E. 7899 South, Sandy; Kevin U. Boekweg, 16, 1036 Capistrano Dr. (1135 West), Salt Lake City, and Robert Lynn Wilkinson, 20, Midvale.
According to Utah Highway Patrolman Frank Marcellin, the three were passengers in a vehicle driven by Collin Andrews, 31, Midvale, who suffered minor injuries and was reported in good condition at a Heber City hospital.
Another passenger in the Andrews vehicle, Don Tripp, 30, Midvale, was released from the hospital Sunday.
Trooper Marcellin said Walter J. Rodabough, 32, San Jose, Calif., driver of a tanker truck carrying crude oil, was listed in serious condition at the hospital and his passenger, Kent Kerr, Granger, was in good condition.
Wendell Wilde, 20, Santaquin, the driver of the third vehicle in the accident, a pickup truck, was also in good condition at the hospital.
The accident occurred when the Wilde eastbound vehicle collided with the westbound tanker truck and then crashed into the Andrews vehicle.

Sandy - Funeral services for Lynn Wilkinson, 20, 1088 Platinum Way, Sandy, who dies (sic) Oct. 28, 1973, of injuries suffered in an automobile accident at Current Creek, will be Wednesday 1 p.m., 8090 S. State, Midvale.
Born Nov. 20, 1952, Provo, to Clark and Dona Bale Wilkinson. Married Susan Burns Jan 18, 1973, Bountiful. Member LDS Church; eagle scout; received Duty to God award; sheet metal worker at C & H Sheet Metal.
Survivors: widow; parents, Midvale; brother, Reese, Midvale; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bale, Ogden.
Friends call at the mortuary one hour before services. Burial, Redwood Memorial Estates.
