Henry was born in Lubbock, Texas, before his parents to Prescott, Arizona.
He last enlistment was 24 October 1963, while he was serving at Camp Pendleton.
Henry arrived in Vietnam 26 March 1968 and was assigned to Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division. Henry died as a result of fragmentation wounds to the head from a hostile explosive
device, 5 kilometers west of Ca Lu. Capt Banks and 5 Marines died as the result of the hostile explosive device.
Capt. Banks served his country for 10 years.
Survived by his wife, Sharon L Banks and his daughter, Andrea L Banks of 1901 S Oak Knoll Avenue, Pasadena, California and his parents, Henry and MaeDell Banks of PO Box 221, Prescott, Arizona.
