Born April 29, 1987, in East Stroudsburg, he was the son of Scott Goucher of Stroudsburg, and Mary Anne (Planchock) Goucher of Moosic and the nephew of William and Mary Searfoss of East Stroudsburg. He was a 2006 graduate of East Stroudsburg High School and a veteran of the United States Army. At the time of his death he was employed by the East Stroudsburg School District. Mike was very active with the East Stroudsburg Crime Watch as a captain and was the assistant organist at Zion United Church of Christ, Stroudsburg. Mike brought something special to the lives of everyone he touched. We were blessed with the presence of him in our lives and will remember his love for each of us. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents and uncle and aunt, he is survived by two sisters, Ashley Goucher of Henryville and Amber Rettig and her fiance, Dave Keiper, of Henryville; his mother Mary Anne's fiance, Frank Dutton, of Moosic; a niece, Paige Keiper; cousins, Jennifer and George Searfoss; and many other aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Memorial Service will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 14, at the Zion United Church of Christ, 14 N. Eighth St., Stroudsburg, with Rev. William Ramsden officiating. Burial will take place in Stroudsburg Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 13, at the church and at 10 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday.
