Lorraine Collins-Trapps, 84, of Syracuse, departed this life Tuesday at James Square Nursing Home after a long illness. She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, Allen Trapps of Syracuse; seven children, Earley Collins (Essie) of Merriville, IN, Earlene Curry of Syracuse, William Collins of Syracuse, James Cokllins (Hettie) of Chicago, IL, Rebecca Heard of Syracuse, Christopher Trapps (Rose) of Syracuse and Gregory Trapps of Syracuse; one sister, Frankie Jackson of Belzon, MS; 22 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and several loving sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including her Prince of Peace church family. Calling hours will be Saturday 10 a.m. to noon with funeral service following at noon at Prince of Peace Missionary Baptist Church, 377 E. Jefferson St. Burial will be in White Chapel Cemetery.
