The family moved to Sanger, TX in the mid 1930's where Lyndell entered the third grade. Another student, Betty Rippey, also entered the same class that year and after spending each year in the same class until graduation, he and Betty married on December 19, 1945.
Lyndell served in WWII in Europe, stationed in Leige, Belguim. After returning from service, he and Betty moved to Ft. Worth where Lyndell worked for 40 years at Bell Helicopter.
Lyndell is survived by his wife, Betty Quisenberry; son, Deon Quisenberry and wife, Cheryl; son-in-law, Tad Cox; five grandchildren, Ryan Cox, Aaron Quisenberry and wife. Mindy, Natalie Quisenberry, Melissa Quisenberry, and James Quisenberry; and one great-grandchild, Caleb Quisenberry. Preceding him in death is daughter, Sheron Lynn Cox; sister, Mona Ruth Johnson; two nieces and one nephew
