Lucinda Horner married Jackson Ballard Gilbert on Oct 6, 1887 in Douglas, Missouri.
They had two children: James Austin Gilbert, Jan. 24, 1888 and Margarette Ann Gilbert, 1890.

Have found no information on Margaret Ann Gilbert. (different spellings of Margaret.)
I don't know if Lucinda's children were taken away by their father, Jackson Ballard Gilbert, or she left the family when the children were very young. They were told that their mother had died. Finding her headstone indicates that here son, James, was about 14 years old when she died.

It is believed that Lucinda was part Cherokee Indian. Have found no evidence of that being fact, however, while doing genealogy the Indian claim keeps popping up.

Lucinda and her sister, Priller Horner Hartless share a memorial marker.
Priller - 1876–1902
