Guearldean Louise Beasley, age 89, died at her home in Springville, Tenn., on Tuesday June 12, 2012, at 1:30 a.m.

Services will be held at Ridgeway LeDon Chapel in Paris, Tenn., at 1 PM on Friday June 15, 2012, with Bro. Bobby Sanders officiating and burial to follow in Poplar Grove Cemetery in Springville, Tenn.

Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8 p.m. and after 10 a.m. on Friday.

Her grandsons were selected as pallbearers: Donald Beasley, Jerry Kyle Beasley, Ben Beasley, Duard Carl Parsons, Jonathan Parsons, David Beasley, Mark Beasley, Ronnie Johnson, II, Dustin Swayne, Skylar McCartney and Tim McCartney.

She was born on Sept. 14, 1922, in Kennett, Mo., to the late John Andrew and Zelma Deering.

On Sept. 29, 1939, she married Duard William Beasley, who preceded her in death on July 18, 1974. She was a member of Springville Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons and six daughters: Jerry Don (Barbara) Beasley, of Springville, Tenn., Dorothy (Joe) Debolin, of Collinsville, Ill., Barbara (Jerry) Parsons, Wesley (Joyce) Beasley, of Paris, Tenn., Sudie Johnson (Joe Richards), of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Carolyn Beasley of Paris, Tenn., Martha (Gerald) Barnett, of Buchanan, Tenn., and Mollie McCartney of Paris, Tenn.;

Twenty-four grandchildren: Donald (Iva) Beasley, Jerry Kyle (Diane) Beasley, Ben Beasley, Wendall (Lynn) Smith, Steven Paul Smith, Sally (Tony) Roberts, Lina (Andy) Cobb, Duard Carl (Penny) Parsons, Mary (Scott) Grooms, Jonathan (Ginny) Parsons, David (Angel) Beasley, Mark (Maria) Beasley, Tim Walker, Karen (Shane) Savage, Ronnie Johnson II, Mona Swayne, Michelle Swayne, Dustin (Trishia) Swayne, Molly Grace Barnett, Andrea (Kyle) Norwood, Allie Rae McCartney, Skylar David McCartney, Tim McCartney, Tori McCartney;

Twenty-nine great grandchildren: Kyle Beasley, Andrew Beasley, Blake William Beasley, Sarah Lynn Roberts, Bradley Austin Smith, Abigail Lynn Smith, Jarrod Steven Smith, Joshua Tyler Smith, Jennifer (Justin) May, Justin Cobb, Hunter Cobb, Kayla (Jeff) Berryhill, Dakota Parsons, Wyatt Parsons, Zach, Lexie and Emily, Jordan (Spencer) Shepherd, Jarrod Grooms;

Kelsie Grooms, Brian Beasley, Jillian Barnes (Daniel Sipes), Karlie Barnes (Greg Clark), Brance Bierly, Blake Swayne, Brooke (Clay) Miller, Samson Swayne Boldizar, Jackson Swayne, Will Norwood; and nine great great grandchildren Cooper Berryhill, Michael Drew Shepard, Peyton C. Shepherd, Khloie Sipes, Carter Sipes, Maddox Clark, Brayden Miller, Jade Rose Moon and Julia Eve Moon.

She was preceded in death by one grandson: Todd Walker.

She is survived by four siblings: Peggy (Richard) Smith, Alta Mae Dugger, Johnny Mac Deering, all of Murfreesboro, and Albert Deering of Michigan.

She is also survived by a special friend of 25 years, Thomas Williams, of Hollow Rock, Tenn.

She was a homemaker for more 35 years before beginning her work career as an employee at the Henry County Courthouse and working as a caregiver for over 10 years. She loved Elvis Presley, playing bingo (sixteen cards at a time), had a green thumb for making plants grow, loved to dance, to meet new people, was very competitive playing cards and board games, loved family get-togethers, going fishing, country and gospel music, animals, and most of all loved the Lord.
