Mrs. Trezevant Dead
After an illness of about three weeks, Mrs. Eva Whitthorne Trezevant, wife of Col. John T. Trezevant, died at the family residence.

Mrs. Trezevant was born in Camden, Arkansas, in 1867, and was the daughter of A. J. Whitthorne and Eva Radcliff Whitthorne. Her parents were Tennesseans and were from Columbia in that State. She was married to Col. Trezevant in 1893, and on taking up her residence in Dallas as his bride at once became one of the social favorites of the city. She was one of the most consistent workers for the charitable institutions of St. Matthew's Cathedral parish, of which church she was a member and was active in many other charitable undertakings. She was a member of only two social clubs in the city, the Merry Wives and the Silent Sixteen. In addition to her social and other self-imposed duties she found time to indulge her taste for literature and assisted Col. Trezevant in the collection of a large library. Mrs. Trezevant leaves one child, Eva, who is 3 years old.

Out of respect to the family, the Dallas Golf and Country Club, of which Col. Trezevant is a member, will be closed throughout the day.
