Geneva May (Gray) Sidie, 90, a longtime resident of Manson, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2009, in Manson at the home of Maynard and Kathryn Rogers. She was born March 10, 1918, at Chelan, the daughter of Henry and Georgia (Yates) Gray. The family moved to Manson when she was seven and she finished her schooling there. On March 11, 1944, she was married to John Sidie at the family home. When they were married, they owned an orchard and later ran their packing shed under the JOS Label. John preceded her in death in July, 1997. She moved to Wenatchee to be near her sister and brother-in-law, Eloise and Ora Jansen. Geneva was a homemaker and caregiver, hard working in her garden and flowers and her pets.
Survivors include her sister, Eloise Jansen of Wenatchee; and nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Mancil and Ivan Gray.
Our family wishes to thank Kathryn and Maynard Rogers, for the loving care given Geneva for the last year and a half of her life.
