Sue Conner was born in Raymond, Nebr., April 17, 1900. Her parents, David and Eva Sweem, were farmers near Exeter, Nebr.

On April 30, 1920, she was united in marriage with Mitchell Clark. To the union one daughter, Martha, was born in 1922.

Mrs. Conner spent many years working in homes caring for motherless children.

In August of 1947 she was united in marriage with Vernon Conner. They lived on a farm near Nelson until March 17, 1955, at which time they sold their farm and bought a home in Nelson.

Sue's health has been failing for the last four or five years. She entered the University Hospital in Omaha, Nebr., where she passed away July 29, 1955.

She leaves to mourn: her husband, Vernon Conner; her daughter, Mrs. Frank George, Kansas City, Mo.; stepchildren, Golda Duffy, Nelson; Hilton Conner, Stanford; Hilma Rogers, McMinnville, Ore., Melvin Conner, Fernley, Nev., and Wayne Conner, Alpine, Calif.

Also a brother, George Sweem, Aurora, Nebr., Hubert Sweem, Superior; and a sister, Mrs. Etta Ferguson, Lonepine, Calif.; three grandchildren: Gayle Cartwell, Rickey, and Mike George; 13 step grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and a sister.

The funeral service was held in the Methodist church (sic) here at three o'clock Monday afternoon, with the Rev. James L. Keown of the Nelson Christian church (sic) officiating. Burial was made in the Exeter cemetery (sic).
