Amanda Mathews/Mathis was married to Charles Denny Corley on 11/25/1880 in Paris, AR., Logan County, and they had 3 children Walter Denny, Robert and William Albert. Charles died when Albert was a young boy and she remarried Henry Beardon. She is buried in an umarked grave in Ashcraft Cemetery. There has been some question of Amanda's maiden name but the 1870 census appears to be Mathews. So many in that period of time could not write or spell correctly. For instance my Holliman relatives and Killmer relatives ended up dropping the second L over generations.
