Katharina immigrated in November of 1853 by herself at the age of 18.
She was aboard the ship Empire which left Havre, France for the port of New York on 19 November 1853. The passenger list indicated her country of origin as Bavaria and her destination as Ohio. Katharina settled in Colerain Township in Hamilton Co., Ohio.
Her Parents did not immigrate. They are Johann Georg Fath b. 1806, & Maria Magdalena Klaus b. 1800 both in Bayern, Germany. They had 5 children. Katharina had a Sister that did immigrate. Her name is Anna Maria Fath Paul & is buried in Vine Street Hill Cemetery memorial #64194363.
