Mrs. James Branch Dies at Age 38

Funeral services for Mrs. James W Branch, 38, of Calhoun City, Miss., who died at 11 am, March 24 at the North Miss. Medical Center, Tupelo, were conducted from the Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Houston at 2 pm, Friday, March 26. The Rev. Thomas Galloway officiated.

Interment was in the Rhodes Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers were Doyle Booth, Dennis Kilgore, James Kilgore, Jr., Charles Sisk, John Robert Kilgore, and Kenneth Kilgore.

Mrs. Thomas, the former Mary Collene Thomas, was born March 9, 1933 in Chickasaw county. She was a Methodist.

She leaves her husband, James W Branch of Calhoun City; two sons, Ricky W Branch and Rodney L Branch, both of Calhoun City; ;a daughter, Mrs. Wanda Kay Bias of Calhoun City; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E L Thomas of Thorn; four brothers, James E Thomas and Ted Thomas, both of Houston; Cedric Thomas of Chicago, Ill., and E M Thomas of San Diego, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Loretta Kilgore and Mrs. Elaine Lucus, both of Houston, and Mrs. Linda D Lucus of Memphis. Two grandchildren also survive.
