Obituary. The Salt Lake Tribune, Salt Lake City, UT, Sunday, Jun 4, 1933, pg 23: "Mrs. Alice Woolf Lyon, 67, wife of George Lyon of Metropolis, Nev., died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A. C. Stoddard, 1268 East Sixth South street, Saturday at 3:45 a.m., of heart trouble.

"Mrs. Lyon came to Salt Lake about two weeks ago because of her failing health. She was born in Hyde Park, Utah, a daughter of Abram and Harriet Wood Woolf. Mrs. Lyon had lived in Nevada for the last 17 years.

"She is survived by her husband, ten sons and daughters, Mrs. John Bake, Mrs. John Knudsen, Budd, Devoe and Ruth Lyon, all of Metropolis; Mrs. Gordon Drown of Lee, Nev.; Mrs. Lew Carlile of McCammon, Idaho; Mrs. Orval Griffith of Smithfield; Mrs. Bert Canonic of California, and Mrs. Stoddard of Salt Lake; two sisters, Mrs. Rhoda Reese of Cache Valley and Mrs. Florence Reese of Smithfield; three brothers, Archie Lyon [sic, Woolf] of Hyde Park, Fred Lyon [sic, Woolf] of Burley, Idaho, and Frank Lyon [sic, Woolf] of Canada; 17 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

"The body will be taken to Smithfield for funeral services and burial."
