A native of Bacon County, she had lived in Brantley County for a number of years.
She was a housewife and was a member of New Hope Primitive Baptist Church and the Woodmen of the World.
She was the daughter of the late Thomas Grady Youmans and Thursie L. Stewart Youmans.
Survivors include her husband, Wendell Wade Hickox of Nahunta; two daughters, Sheri Renee Hickox of Indiana and Sara Marie Hickox of Nahunta; a son, Daniel Wade Hickox of Nahunta; two sisters, Kathleen Boyett of Jacksonville, FL and Dianne Frederick of Bryceville, FL and several other relatives.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 3, from New Hope Primitive Baptist Church in Hickox with Elder Willis Boyett and Elder Alvin Johnson officiating.
Interment was in new Hope Cemetery.
Pearson-Treadwell Funeral Home of Blackshear was in charge of arrangements.
