Harvey Higley was appointed to the Admistrator of Veterans Affairs and to be the Chair person of the Veteran's Day National Committee from President Eisenhower. Harvey Higley was very active in public affairs. The Higley road and Higley park in Marinette, Wisconsin, was named after him.
